Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance

By signing in or using CSVians (the “Service”, “we”, “us”) you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy. You must accept them before signing in. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use it for an organization, you confirm you may bind it. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, except where law requires fresh consent.

2. What CSVians is

An AI-assisted workspace for CSV and spreadsheet data: generating and running transforms (mostly in your browser), comparison and selected automated safety checks (“audit”), Learn Pair, reusable and publishable tools, analysis text, and beta features such as charts, PDF and ZIP export.

Words like “audit”, “receipt”, “safe” or “passed” describe product features. They are not a guarantee that every error was found or that a file is fit for production.

3. Your responsibilities

• Keep backups of your original files.
• Only process data you have the right to use.
• Review generated code and check outputs (row counts, values, types, encodings, business rules).
• Re-test reusable tools on every new file.
• Keep your account secure and comply with the laws that apply to you.

Do not rely only on CSVians where a mistake could cause serious financial, legal or personal harm.

4. AI, local processing and what leaves your device

AI can be wrong. Generated code may delete, change, reorder or mis-parse data, or behave differently on a new file.

Transforms, full-file audits, charts, PDF and ZIP exports are designed to run in your browser. To generate a transform we send AI providers your prompts, column names, up to the first 10 sample rows (which you may edit or replace with mock data before sending), generated code and related error logs. We do not upload your full working file for normal transform generation.

Saved projects and templates store chat history, submitted AI sample values in the rulebook, generated analysis text, tool code and rulebook/receipt metadata. Separate file samples are not saved by default: turning on Save sample stores up to 100 data rows. Turn it off to remove the stored sample from the current project and live tool; previously saved template snapshots must be managed separately.

5. Learn Pair

Learn Pair lets you provide two example files — a “before” (messy) file and an “after” (cleaned) file — so the AI can infer the transform you want and build a reusable tool from it.

• Both example files are compared on your device. The AI receives a summary of the differences, column names and small samples — not your full files.
• Learn Pair produces a best guess. Examples may be incomplete or ambiguous, and the inferred tool may miss rules, over-generalize, or treat coincidences as rules.
• A tool learned from a pair can behave differently on new files. Always run it on a full file and review the comparison and audit results before trusting or downloading the output.
• Only upload example files you have the right to process. Remove personal or confidential data, or use mock data, wherever possible.
• Learn Pair runs and any automatic or consented repairs use tokens like any other AI request.

6. Audit results and green checks

Audit and comparison run selected automated checks only. A green or “passed” state means those checks did not report a failure under their rules. It does not mean the file is correct, complete, compliant or safe for production. Human review is always required before download, import or reliance.

7. Accounts, tokens, plans and ads

Sign-in (Google) is required for AI features, saved projects and community tools (Discover). Some features are beta and limits may change.

Paid plans are sold through our payment partner Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and handles billing, taxes and invoices. Current offers (e.g. a monthly Pro plan and one-off token packs) and their included usage are shown on the Pricing page at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops renewal and access to the plan’s monthly allowance as described on the Pricing page.

Tokens and ad rewards have no cash value, are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for money, and may expire or be adjusted under the plan rules. Ad rewards may be paused at any time; skipped or incomplete ads earn nothing. Faking ad views, automation, multiple accounts or other abuse may lead to removal of tokens and account suspension.

We may change models, prices or included usage for future billing periods; changes are shown before you pay.

8. Acceptable use

• No unlawful use or data you lack rights to.
• No attacking, overloading, scraping, reverse-engineering or bypassing security, limits or billing.
• No malware, spam or ad fraud.
• Do not publish tools containing secrets, credentials or data you may not share.
• Do not present outputs as certified, guaranteed or regulator-approved.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, risk or legal reasons.

9. Intellectual property

CSVians software, engines, brand and materials remain ours. Your data remains yours. You may use, modify and commercially use code and tools generated for you, subject to law and third-party rights; we do not warrant uniqueness or freedom from third-party claims. By publishing a tool you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and show it under the sharing settings you choose, and other users may run or fork it.

10. Geographic scope

The Service is operated from Bangladesh. If you use it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with local law. Use is prohibited where it would be illegal.

11. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. We do not warrant that transforms are correct or lossless, that audits catch every issue, that AI output matches your intent, or that the Service is uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CSVians and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, business or goodwill, errors in AI output, transforms, audits or receipts, or your reliance on outputs without independent verification.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three (3) months before the claim (BDT 0 if you paid nothing).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability or consumer right that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify the operator against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your data, your use of outputs, your published tools, or your breach of law or these Terms, except where caused by our fraud or other non-excludable liability.

14. High-risk use

Do not use CSVians as the sole control for medical, safety-critical, legal or tax filings, or automated decisions with serious effects on people. Audit features are not regulatory certification.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach, abuse, risk or discontinuation. Files on your device remain your responsibility.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The courts of Dhaka have jurisdiction over disputes, without limiting mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.

17. General

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. The operator may assign these Terms and the Service to a company or successor that continues CSVians, with notice on the site or by email.
